Based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Blair has been a full time performing and session musician for over 30 years. Performing in the Twin Cities, as well as touring nationally and internationally, he has played with such diverse artists as Percy Strother, Wee Willie Walker, Nachito Herrera, Sonny Knight and The Lakers, Wanda Davis, Fred Wesley and John “Jabo” Starks. He currently performs with local artists LowRay, Tony Cuchetti, James Eugene Russell and The Dollys.
In addition to the stage and studio, Blair has taught private lessons for over 12 years and was pivotal in starting The Linden Hills House of Music in 2008. His diversity in genre and experience from over the years has provided an extensive outlet for advanced students, as well as inspiring interested beginners. His baseline instruction in jazz as well as a love of traditional country music provide a reliable foundation for students which can be applied to various genres.
